PREDICTION OF ELECTRON-BEAM COLD-PLASMA DECOMPOSITION OF CCL4 ON THE BASIS OF G-VALUE CONSIDERATIONS

摘要
The earlier experimental results of electron beam cold plasma decomposition of CCl4 in dry air are supported by the current theoretical results on the basis of G-value considerations and selected first principles of chemical kinetics. These first principles represent the bimolecular dissociative electron attachment which is responsible for the decomposition of CCl4. In addition to using the theoretical results for prediction of the CCl4 concentration as a function of the electron beam dose, using these results for chemical dosimetry, i.e. measurement of the electron beam dose as a function of the CCl4 concentration, appears very promising as well.
