摘要
An overview of the current status of radio-frequency (rf) heating and current drive applications in tokamaks is given. The use of ion cyclotron and electron cyclotron waves for heating and lower hybrid waves for both heating and current drive is reviewed based on current experimental results. Based on the progress in rf techniques demonstrated by these results, several rf methods have been incorporated into the International Tokamak Reactor (INTOR) design. The combined use of these systems in INTOR is described.
