摘要
The effect of ultraviolet light and HNO2 on the biological activity of isolated T4 DNA was studied. The biological activity of T4 DNA was determined in the phage transformation system described in a previous paper. The survival curves obtained after treatment of DNA with ultraviolet or HNO2 are compound and the ultimate slope of the survival curve is dependent on the size of the marker to be transferred. The shape of the curves is most easily explained, as is done by other workers, assuming a model of shrinking target size. © 1968.
