MEASUREMENT OF THE TRANSPORT-PROPERTIES OF FESI2 AND HMS BY UTILIZATION OF THE PELTIER EFFECT IN THE TEMPERATURE-RANGE 50-80-DEGREES-C

摘要
By using the Peltier effect it is possible to measure the transport properties of thermoelectric materials. This so-called Harman method exhibits the advantage of measuring the properties of a sample without any change in preparation. Until now this method has only been used up to 100-degrees-C. An apparatus and a preparation procedure is described to use this method in the temperature range 50-800-degrees-C. Measurements of FeSi2 and higher manganese silicide are given.
