ANALYTICAL ESTIMATOR OF MEASUREMENT ERROR VARIANCES IN DATA RECONCILIATION

摘要
Methods of data reconciliation are necessary for correct process control. They assume that measurement errors are random Gaussian variables with a known covariance matrix. A new analytical algorithm based on constraint residuals, calculated from available data is proposed to estimate the covariance matrix of measurement errors. An essential requirement for its application is sufficient spatial redundancy given by a structurally necessary condition of variance estimability. Two simulated examples are presented.
