摘要
Nonequilibrium effects due to interactions between two coupled chemical reactions are studied on the microscopic level for a simple molecular model. These effects are described by the Boltzmann and the Fokker-Planck equations for the Lorentz gas. The analytical results obtained by the perturbation solution of the Boltzmann equation are compared with an accurate numerical solution of the Fokker-Planck equation. Results obtained indicate that the faster chemical reaction suppresses the slower one due to exhaustion of the molecules capable to react by this faster chemical reaction. The nonequilibrium effect on the rate of slower reaction connected with this process can achieve more than 50%.
