摘要
This study has been a research on ultrafine ZrO2 powder from different starting materials, with different processing routes for hydrothermal treatment and freezing drying. The phases, purity, particle size, surface area, crystallite size and agglomeration structure of these powders were studied. Characterization of the powder properties using TEM, BET, particle size analysis, X-ray diffraction and Hg-porosimetry was carried out. The effect, during calcination, of temperature and time on the phases and specific surface of the powder was studied, using both green bodies and sintered bodies. We have found an efficient way to prepare ultrafine ZrO2 powder with excellent particle size, shape and sintering behaviour-by using hydrothermal treatment and freezing drying combined. A special feature was the study, using Hg-porosimetry, of the structure and nature of agglomeration in the ZrO2 particle.
