摘要
The effect of magnetic shear on the toroidal ion temperature gradient-driven drift mode is investigated through two-dimensional fluid simulations. Shear reduces the anomalous thermal transport by localizing the turbulence. Mixing length formulas for anomalous ion thermal transport are derived in various regimes with respect to the strength of the magnetic shear. © 1990 American Institute of Physics.
