摘要
This article addresses imaging of intramedullary processes of the spinal cord. MRI, as the procedure of choice for the intramedullary space, is the primary imaging modality that is focused on. Patterns of signal abnormality, enhancement, and morphology are described that can be used to separate neoplasms, inflammation, infarction, vascular anomalies, degenerative processes, and congenital anomalies as they affect the spinal cord. Recognition of these patterns is essential for prompt and appropriate medical and surgical treatment. © 1994 W.B. Saunders Company. All rights reserved.
