摘要
This paper investigates the effect of particle size and binder type and content on the compaction behaviour of agglomerated zinc oxide powder. Four powders have been used with a combination of two particle sizes, two binder types and two binder contents. Also the green strength of the resultant compacts have been assessed in relation with these parameters using the Weibull theory for brittle materials. It was found that the green strength increases with decrease in particle size and that increase in binder content has a negative effect on the strength of the compacts.
