摘要
This paper describes the load/displacement response, crush-zone morphology and specific energy-absorption capability of knitted-carbon-fibre-fabric/epoxy tubes tested under axial compressive load. The effects of fibre architecture and fibre content on the specific energy-absorption capability are discussed. Attempts have been made to optimise the fibre arrangement to obtain maximum energy-absorption capability.
