摘要
A high performance multiple wavelength laser transmitter which operates at four wavelengths spaced by 4 nm around 1550 nm is reported. Electrical drive and WDM optics are included in a package measuring just 50 x 30 x 15 mm3. Output power into the singlemode fibre is + 5 dBm peak (1 dBm per laser) and the wavelengths are all within +/- 0.3 nm of target. The ECL-level compatible modulation and laser bias circuitry has been demonstrated to operate to at least 2.5 Gbit/s.
