ON EQUILIBRIUM PROPERTIES AND PHASE-DIAGRAM OF MAGNETIC FLUIDS

摘要
It is shown that a magnetic fluid can be treated as a combination of two independent subsystems: i) magnetic dipoles, ii) molecules of the solvent fluid contained in cells with a potential field. A transition of the magnetic field to the dipole glass state is found at low temperatures. It is argued that the emergence of aggregates in magnetic fluids at high temperatures is a first-order phase transition.
