ELECTRODYNAMICS OF POLARITONS IN FIBONACCI-TYPE PIEZOELECTRIC SUPERLATTICES

摘要
We present the bulk and surface polariton spectra for piezoelectric superlattices composed in accordance with the quasi-periodic Fibonacci sequence. The two building blocks which define the Fibonacci superlattice take account of both cubic and hexagonal symmetry aspects of the piezoelectric layers. Our calculations encompass the previous results on the propagation of these excitations in periodic superlattices when appropriate low-order terms of the Fibonacci sequence are chosen.
