摘要
The photochemical displacement of eta6-benzene from [CpOS(eta6-benzene)]+ in acetonitrile affords [CpOs(CH3CN)3]+ with PHI = 0.012 in 90% yield. The reaction mechanism involves photoactive ion pairs. [CpOs(CH3CN)3]+ is comparable to [CpRu(CH3CN)3]+ in reactions with arenes, phosphines, CO, and NO, but forms products that are reaction intermediates in the corresponding [CpRu(CH3CN)3]+ chemistry with styrene.
