PHASE NOISE IN A SQUEEZED STATE

摘要
An explicit expression is given for the phase noise in a high intensity squeezed state. For fixed intensity nBAR this is found to have a minimum value of In nBAR/4n2BAR. The principal limit on the noise reduction is given by the non-zero probability for the field to have the opposite phase from that intended. A weaker limit is set by the occupation of states close to the origin, in particular of the vacuum state.
