DITHER-FREE METHOD FOR PHASE-MIRROR CONTROL IN OPTICAL-FEEDBACK STABILIZED DIODE-LASER SYSTEMS

摘要
A new, straightforward method of stabilizing the diode-cavity pathlength for optical-feedback locked diode laser systems is described. The technique uses the spatial mode patterns excited in the coupled confocal resonator to derive an error signal for the feedback phase. The theoretical basis for the method is described together with its experimental realization for a 674 nm visible diode laser system. Included in this study are linewidth and frequency stability measurements of the beat frequency between two identical but independent systems.
