Rheological behavior of polyacrylic ammonium-containing aqueous suspensions of nanometer-sized BaTi1-xZrxO3 (x=0-0.2) powders was analyzed through the power law equation S=K(gamma)n, where S is the shear stress, K the consistency index, gamma the shear rate and n a constant indicating the departure from Newtonian behavior. The critical solid content for colloidal solids at n=0 was estimated to be 46-48 vol% from apparent viscosity analysis. The dried BaTiO3 compacts with green density of 55-60% TD could be densified to a relative density of 95-99% at 1200-1300-degrees-C.
