THE THEORETICAL CONSIDERATION OF PHYSICAL REGULARITIES OF ELECTROSTATIC DISPERSION OF LIQUIDS AS AEROSOLS

摘要
The present paper gives a theoretical analysis for the generation of liquid-drop aerosols by the method of electrostatic dispersion of liquids. It is shown that both monodisperse and polydisperse aerosol conditions may be realized depending on the potential difference applied and on the value of the hydrodynamic pressure under which the liquid is supplied to the dispersing device. Calculations are made for the dimensions and charges of the droplets originated under both of these conditions.
