摘要
We have constructed a prototype single-mode-fiber-based Fizeau interferometric medical pressure sensor that uses coherence reading. A range-to-resolution ratio of approximately 6.7 x 10(3):1 and an overall measurement accuracy of better than +/-1% over a pressure range of 0 to 360 Torr have been achieved. This miniature sensor is expected to be a practical approach for most medical applications.
