摘要
Skeletal muscle metabolism was examined in patients with chronic congestive heart failure and in normal controls using P-31 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy during transcutaneous nerve stimulation-induced muscular contraction, Congestive heart failure patients exhibited lower tissue pH and greater phosphocreatine utilization than controls, suggesting that congestive heart failure is associated with a qualitative abnormality of skeletal muscle.
