A COMPARISON OF LINEAR DRIVING FORCE AND PORE DIFFUSION-MODELS FOR A PRESSURE SWING ADSORPTION BULK SEPARATION PROCESS

摘要
The linear driving force model with frozen solid approximation during pressurization and blowdown, originally developed to simulate pressure swing adsorption air separation for nitrogen production on a carbon molecular sieve, has been applied to a similar process using the zeolite molecular sieve RS-10. It is shown that this simplified model gives performance predictions which are in good agreement with published experimental data as well as with the predictions of the more complex pore diffusional model. © 1989.
