摘要
Decentralization in the Houston region is analyzed in this paper by the estimation of population density functions. The study is novel in that it uses actual land utilized for residential activity at different locations rather than using total land area. Also we analyze population density by regressing lot size of individual homes on their distance from the CBD. The development of Houston is also analyzed with reference to competing theories of urban development and explanations of decentralization. © 1991.
