摘要
The fly ash catalyzed oxychlorination of ethylene primarily produced 1,2-dichloroethane and vinyl chloride in the temperature range 250-500-degrees-C. Above 350-degrees-C oxidation is an important pathway as well. The latter process primarily produces carbon monoxide. The effects of temperature and of the concentrations of hydrogen chloride and oxygen are described. By comparison, experiments starting with CuCl2, Cu and CuO have been performed.
