In this study, DTA ignition temperatures and DTG maximum peak temperatures were correlated with the CaO, MgO, Na2O and K2O contents of twenty-one Turkish lignites. All correlations were developed by means of least-squares regression analyses. The combustion curves of the lignite samples before and after mineral matter removal were compared and discussed.
