摘要
In this letter we describe a novel modification of the directional coupler modulator to reduce the nonlinear distortion to improve the linear dynamic range. Our calculated results indicate that the ratio of optical signal power to the spurious signal power of this device is 30-40 dB larger than that of a Mach-Zehnder interferometric modulator.
