摘要
A numerical approach is developed for the solution in time and space of the mass- and heat-transfer problem associated with a convective model for metal hydride storage beds. A computer program is developed to solve the differential equations that describe both energy and mass balance with the specified initial and boundary conditions. This article outlines how both temperature and hydrogen-to-metal atom ratio are distributed along the length of the bed at different discharging time levels. The total amount of the accumulated hydrogen is also computed as a function of discharging time.
