QUANTUM OSCILLATION IN A AHARONOV-BOHM RING IN THE PRESENCE OF MAGNETIC-FLUX AND ELECTROSTATIC POTENTIAL

摘要
A theory is presented of the Aharonov-Bohm interference effect in a mesoscopic ring subjected to both magnetostatic and electrostatic potential. Their combination exibits some new aspects of quantun oscillation. We derive the phase shift relations and quantum oscillations with periods of half the flux quantum h/2e are predicted both electrostatic and magnetostatic AB oscillations. A full taxonomy is established and confirmed by numerical calculations. © 1993 Academic Press.
