SELF-TRAPPING TRANSITIONS IN A DISCRETE NLS MODEL WITH LOCALIZED INITIAL CONDITIONS

摘要
We present a simple formula for estimating the location of a self-trapping transition for a discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation. We test our formula numerically and against results from past analytical and numerical investigations of related models. The effects of boundary conditions on self-trapping efficiency are also discussed.
