摘要
An algorithm for minimax design of two-dimensional FIR linear phase digital filters is described. A minimax algorithm recently proposed by the author (1979) is useud in conjunction with M. J. D. Powell's conjugate direction algorithm (1977) to obtain the optimum results. Optimal results obtained using the present approach on a large number of design examples are presented. Also, a detailed discussion on the effect of various symmetries of the impulse response on the amplitude response of the filter is presented.
