摘要
A smooth transition from the heavy-fermion to the intermediate-valence state has been observed in the electrical resistivity measurement of the paramagnetic system CeCu6 with increasing pressure up to 120 kbar. The pressure dependences of same characteristic physical quantities and the scaling behavior are described. A polycrystalline sample of CeCu6 was prepared by the method of arc-melting in Ar-atmosphere with subsequent annealing at 920 K. The electrical resistances of the two samples of CeCu6 cut from the same ingot have been measured by the four-probe method at temperatures between 1.1 and 300 K under quasihydrostatic pressure up to 120 kbar. The pressure was generated in a Bridgman-anvil clamp apparatus with Belleville springs, anvil-face diameter of 3.5mm and pressure medium of steatite.
