摘要
We study the dynamical effects induced by a squeezed vacuum field interacting with the atoms of a standard single mode optical bistable system. We show that by varying the relative phase between the squeezed vacuum field and the coherent input light one can force the system to switch from a low to a high transmission state and vice versa. This effect is caused by the variation of the atomic relaxation rates induced by the squeezed vacuum.
