A SOLVABLE MODEL OF COUPLED LIMIT-CYCLE OSCILLATORS EXHIBITING PARTIAL PERFECT SYNCHRONY AND NOVEL FREQUENCY-SPECTRA

摘要
An analytically solvable phase model of a targe population of limit-cycle oscillators with uniform infinite-range interactions is proposed and analyzed in detail on the basis of the order function theory developed recently. In this model, oscillators are linked by a periodic step function of phase difference, part of them with a growing size falling perfectly synchronous beyond a threshold of entrainment, where the spectrum of average frequencies is of novel shape, showing a transition from one type to another.
