摘要
129Xe-NMR of xenon sorbed on coked zeolites is a powerful tool to characterize the distribution of coke in the zeolites. A small amount of homogeneously deposited coke does not alter significantly the available free volume (Hex-5) whereas heterogeneously distributed coke modifies drastically the free volume accessible to xenon atoms (Pr-15 and Pr-33). It is concluded that coke formed from propylene obstructs the access to some supercages. The presence of external coke is shown by a new NMR line characteristic of xenon atoms adsorbed in 'macrocavities'. Upon regeneration, external coke is first eliminated and the slow removal of internal coke leads to partially decoked supercages of various effective sizes.
