摘要
The work reported was undertaken to extend the observation that specific gas yield increases with increasing influent Volatile Solids concentration, first noted for the anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge. The gas yields found for poultry litter (0. 245 to 0. 372 m**3 biogas per kilogram of VS added at retention times of 29 and 12 days and influent Volatile Solids (VS) concentrations of 4% and 1%, respectively) were lower than those reported in the literature for poultry manure; e. g. at 37 degree , 30-day RT, 2. 53% influent VS, a value of 0. 627 m**3 biogas per kilogram of VS added.
