摘要
A poly[styrene-co-(divinyl benzene)] resin (XAD-4) functionalized with N-hydroxyethylethylenediamine ligands has been synthesized and its application for the concentration and separation of trace amounts of metal ions was studied, Metal sorption studies were carried out with Cu-II, Ni-II, Zn-II, Co-II, Fe-II, Cd-II, Pb-II, Mn-II and Cr-III as a function of pH. Trace amounts of these metal ions were quantitatively retained on the resin and recovered by eluting with 1 mol l(-1) hydrochloric acid, The resin was found to be selective for Pb-II and Cu-II, and their separation from other metal ions in the binary mixture was carried out effectively, Metal ion concentrations were determined using AAS.
