DETERMINATION OF SMALL AMOUNTS OF TIN WITH 4,5-DIHYDROXYFLUORESCEIN BY DIFFERENTIAL ABSORPTIOMETRY

摘要
A rapid method for determination of Sn in diverse materials in the concentration range of 0.002-1.0%, by a differential absorptiometric technique is presented. From the acid digest of the material, Sn is isolated as the sulfide with thioacetamide by coprecipitation with Cu added as a carrier; Sn is complexed with 4,5-dihydroxyfluorescein at a pH of 2.5 .+-. 0.1, and the absorbance is measured at 520 nm. The color is very stable; Beer''s law holds over a range of 0-50 .mu.g/25 ml. Recovery of added Sn is very good, and the results are reproducible with a precision of better than 1%.
