摘要
The interfacial impedance was measured at the interface between mercury and aqueous electrolyte solutions containing some organic surface-active substances. The frequency dispersion of the interfacial impedance associated with the adsorption-desorption process of the organic substances was analysed by the method of Cole and Cole. The shapes of the Cole-Cole plot have been put into two groups, and the physical meaning of each group is explained in terms of the adsorption kinetics. Under certain conditions, the rate of adosrption of octyl- or decyl-sulphate ions is controlled by an activation process, whereas the adsorption of alcohols is controlled by the rate of diffusion. Electrical equivalent circuits have been determined for the two kinds of adsorption-desorption process. © 1968.
