摘要
A picosecond time-resolved infrared technique has been used to measure the transient response of vibrationally excited CO adsorbed on the surface of a Pt(111) single crystal. Transient bleaching signal decay is interpreted as giving T1 for damping of vibrationally excited CO. Transient absorption is discussed in terms of transitions from the excited adsorbate band to overtone levels. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
