摘要
Results are presented for the quasiparticle-spectral-weight function for a two-dimensional tight-binding band in the normal and superconducting states. Comparison is made between s- and d-wave superconducting phases. A quasiparticle damping mechanism, which has been proposed as an explanation for recently observed features in superconducting tunneling experiments, is incorporated, as well as an additional inelastic scattering rate that decreases rapidly upon entering the superconducting state. Comparison is made with recent angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
