ATOM-ION TRANSITION ENERGIES FOR ALKALI ATOMS ON A TUNGSTEN SURFACE

摘要
Ion Q(i) and atom Q(a) desorption energies for five alkali metals on tungsten were determined using the ion thermal emission noise method. We present the results of calculations of the activation energy E for the charge transfer process on the tung ten surface. A special energetic balance equation for determining E is used: (Q(a) - Q(i)) + e(V - phi) + E = 0; (V is the ionization potential).
