摘要
FTICR-MS has been shown to be quite useful in a variety of analytical applications. Incorporation of differentially-pumped dual sample formation - sample analysis regions will permit the technique to take advantage of virtually all alternate ionization schemes such as LD, FAB, and SIMS. It will also greatly facilitate coupling of gas chromatographs, and even liquid chromatographs with electrospray or thermospray sample introduction and ionization devices to the low-pressure sample analysis region. The resulting instrumentation may be the most versatile mass spectrometric approach to the wide range of problems facing analytical chemists today.
