摘要
Newly obtained rate data for the reactions of the polycyclic aromatics biphenyl, methylnaphtalenes and phenanthrene with O (P3) are compared with the results of previous measurements for monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These reactions were studied in an isothermal low pressure discharge flow system with mass spectrometric detection in the temperature range 298 K to 870 K, in an excess of O atoms over hydrocarbon. The obtained Arrhenius expressions and especially the activation energies for the reactions of mono- and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with O atoms fit together well and strongly support as main reaction channel the addition of the electrophilic species to the aromatic ring
