摘要
A general method for immobilizing polymer films on electrode surfaces uses gamma radiation to form a cross-linked network. The water-soluble polyelectrolyte, poly(dimethyldiallylammonium chloride) (DMDAAC), is immobilized on graphite and platinum electrodes. Cyclic voltammograms of ferricyanide at DMDAAC modified electrodes show ion exchange of the anion into the film. The voltammograms are affected by supporting electrolyte ionic strength and anion type. Variation of radiation dose changes the cross-link density of poly(acrylonitrile) films on gold and thus can be used to control permeability of the film to electroactive species in solution.
