摘要
The damping of electromechanical oscillations of synchronous generators using an output feedback static var controller is investigated in this paper. An eigenstructure assignment technique is applied to design this conrtroller. The designed controller is simple in structure and easily implemented by a proportional-integral (PI) controller. Eigenvalue analyses and time domain simulations under different loading conditions are both performed in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
