摘要
Broadband acoustic absorption spectra of human serum albumin in buffer solution have been measured for various concentrations of albumin between 0% and 4% at 283 and 293 K. The sound velocity, density and shear viscosity of the above mixtures have been determined in the interval of 283-318 K. The relaxation process is found with the characteristic frequency around 10 MHz which could be attributed to rotational isomerisation of amino-acid residuals in albumin. Another process, associated with free-bound water exchange in albumin mixtures is analyzed using the shear viscosity data.
