摘要
The ZrO2 sensor has been applied to the determination of the oxygen content in gases. The same principle may be used for quantification of reducing gases. The electrode material is chemically modified. The potential of these electrode in direct physical contact with such a gas mixture is proportional to the quantity of reducing gas present. This effect is a result of catalytic and adsorptive interactions between the gas and the sensing electrode. Even in trace amounts, gases like CO or NH3 can be detected and quantified. This new sensor type can be applied for analysing further gas components.
