HETERONUCLEAR J-COUPLING MODULATION AS AN IMAGING METHOD FOR NUCLEI IN LOW CONCENTRATION

摘要
A double-resonance imaging method for nuclei in low concentration is presented. The method utilizes the scalar coupling between the low-concentration spin and an abundant or more sensitive spin species. The spatial position of the low-concentration spin is located by identifying all the abundant spins J-coupled to it. The method was tested on CH2FCH2OH, in which the fluorine played the role of the low-density nucleus. The results show that the fluorine nucleus is spatially localized with a signal-to-noise ratio given by its J-coupled 1H nuclei. © 1991.
