摘要
The Smith jellium model for an s-p metal surface is treated. A exact analytical solution is obtained for a neutral metal. Extension of the model to a charged surface is considered to obtain analytical expressions for the lability coefficients, characterizing the response of the surface electronic profile to moderate charging.
