摘要
13C-labeled glucose has been added to a soil and its pathway of decomposition followed by high-resolution solid-state 13C NMR. The glucose is mainly incorporated in the soil as new carbohydrates, polymethylene, and carboxyl carbon. It is conclusively demonstrated that microbiological activity is responsible for the accumulation of polymethylene in soils. © 1990, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
